Ann Pitkin of Ithaca passed away surrounded by
family and friends at sundown on Monday, November 30, 2009 at the age of 66.
Born in New York City in 1943 to Walter Jr. and Susan (neé Kobbe) Pitkin, Ann
was raised in Westport, CT and lived in Ithaca since 1973.
Ann is survived by her mother, Susan of Ithaca; son, Felix Teitelbaum of Ithaca
and son and daughter-in-law Benjamin and Ruth Teitelbaum of Oakland, CA; three
grandchildren, Louis, Walter, and Sara; two brothers, John and Stephen Pitkin;
cousin (and her husband) Maggie Pitkin and Jürg Bütler of Mecklenburg; and a
closely-knit extended family, including many cousins, nieces and nephews. She
was preceded in death by her father, Walter Jr.
A Memorial Service will be announced within the next few weeks. Burial will be
private at Greensprings Natural Cemetery.
