Virginia N. Taylor passed away May 19, 2009 at her home in Kendal at Ithaca, Ithaca, NY.

She was born in Binghamton, NY November 4, 1910,  the daughter of Florence (Kuster) North and William North.  Mrs. Taylor married her childhood sweetheart in 1930 after two years of Registered Nurses Training at Charles S. Wilson Memorial School of Nursing, Johnson City, NY.

She was a “stay at home” mother.  After her husband’s retirement they moved to Montrose, PA where she did private duty nursing for 18 years.

Survivors are Mary Ellen and Daniel Schreher, Trumansburg, NY; Priscilla Ioele, Phillipsburg, NJ; and Loretta Ramstad, Ithaca, NY; 8 grandchildren and their spouses; 16 great-grandchildren.  One daughter, Bernice, and a brother, Medwin North preceded her in death.

A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at 2:00pm at Kendal at Ithaca, officiated by the Rev. John Kotun.

Burial will be in Johnson City, NY at the convenience of the family.
