Bonnie M. Caldwell

INTERLAKEN-Bonnie M. Caldwell, age 66, of Railroad Avenue, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 29, 2018.

Bonnie was born in Ithaca on May 28, 1952, a daughter of the late Edgar and Dora (Stout) Hymes. She graduated from the school of nursing at Willard Psychiatric Center, and had a long career as a registered nurse, working at Willard Psychiatric Center, Cayuga Medical Center, Kendal at Ithaca, and Visiting Nurse Service which allowed her to care for young children with disabilities which brought her unmeasurable joy.

She is survived by her daughter, Lyndsay Caldwell (Shawn Chase); her grandchildren, Isaac Edgar and Haley Marie Tripp of Mayville, NY, her “Darlin Girl” Kayleigh Banfield of Interlaken and her “Biscuit babies” Makayla and Skylar Chase of Ithaca; a sister, Ruth (Dennis) Dumond of Walton, NY and a brother, Larry (Debbie) Hymes of Alexandria, IN and extended family. Bonnie was preceded in death by husband, Bruce Caldwell in 2006, her sons, Derek Tripp in 2007, Jason Tripp in 2016.
