Chrystal A. Yaw Crandall

Chrystal A. Yaw Crandall of Apalachin and Trumansburg died on Monday, February 19, 2024 at the age of 33.

Chrystal was born in Ithaca on March 5, 1990, the adopted daughter of the late Clifford Dawson and Jean (Uhrovcik) Yaw. She graduated from Charles O. Dickerson High School in Trumansburg in 2008. Chrystal worked as a CNA and cared deeply about others. She was a very attentive and protective mother and her children were her greatest joy.

Chrystal is survived by her children, Zachary, Belle, and Lathan; Michael Crandall; brothers, Andrew and Raymond Yaw; her aunts and uncles, Rose (Dave) Smith, Sandy (Dale Clapper) Ward, Yolanda (Robin) Johnson, Rosemary (Allen) Cobane, Stephanie (Randall) Swearingen, and Michael (Cindy) Uhrovcik. In addition to her parents, Chrystal was preceded in death by an uncle, John Yaw; and aunt, Emma Lovejoy.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Ness-Sibley Funeral Home.
