Devin Carl McGill

Devin Carl McGill of Ithaca and Trumansburg passed away at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at the age of 62. 

Devin was born in Ithaca on November 2, 1962, the youngest child to the late Harold and Lucille (Malm) McGill. He graduated from Charles O. Dickerson High School in Trumansburg. A talented painter and carpenter, Devin worked throughout Ithaca, Trumansburg and the surrounding areas.

Devin was a passionate photographer taking thousands of photos over the years. He cherished his time with his son, Brandon, and the two together collected rocks from many of their adventures over the years. 

Devin is survived by his son, Brandon McGill; siblings Donya (Danny) Knapp, Darlene (Don) Schlather, Deborah (Ron) Murazzi, Doug (Penny) McGill, and Daryl (Sue) McGill; mother of his son, Jennifer Violette; and many nieces and nephews and extended family. In addition to his parents, Devin was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy McGill. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00pm on Friday, September 26, 2025 at Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg.
