Dolores E.  Chase

Dolores Estella Chase, of 100 East Main Street, Trumansburg, passed away at home on Monday, August 20, 2012, one day after 74th birthday.

Born in Ithaca on August 19, 1938, Dolores was the daughter of the late Olney and Helen (Linderberry) Towner. She was a graduate of the Class of 1956 from Trumansburg High School. For many years, Dolores worked at NCR prior to working as an administrative assistant at Cornell University.

Her artistic ability was shown through her love of working with copper and leaded stained glass. In recent years, Dolores enjoyed researching family genealogy and was a find a grave contributor.

Dolores is survived by her husband of 56 years, John Chase Trumansburg; five children, John (Vicki) Chase of Ocean Springs, MS, Sondra Chase Mansur of Greenville, SC, Sally Ann (Marc) Chase Trepanier of Merrimack, NH, Allyson Chase of Trumansburg, and Jacqueline (Luis) Chase Sanchez of Greenville, SC; nineteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Craig Towner.

In keeping with Dolores’ wishes, services will be private.
