Jim Duddleston, 74 went home to be with the Lord on January 28, 2026.
Born October 20, 1951 Jim was raised in Trumansburg, New York, graduating from Trumansburg High School. Jim spent many years in the Boy Scouts where he became an Eagle Scott. He often reminisced about the good times and memories of being in the Scouts. After high school, Jim worked for two years with his father at the Halsey Seed Farm prior to enlisting in the US Navy in 1974.
He served in the United States Navy for two separate periods. While in the Navy, Jim was honored with the distinctive National Defense Service Medal and earned the First Good Conduct Award. After leaving the service, Jim worked for the United States DOD as an Electronics Mechanic and Specialist prior to his retirement. He will be remembered for his support of others and his special sense of humor.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents John and Isabel Duddleston. In addition to his loving and beautiful wife Mi Young, Jim is survived by his children; Erin Lawrence (Jerey), Ben Duddleston (Jackie), Greg Duddleston, Taeyoung Duddleston (Amy), Andrew Duddleston and Kevin Duddleston in addition to 10 grandchildren. Siblings include brother Doug Duddleston (Carolyn), sisters Sandy Duddleston and Susan (Bob) Sullivan. He is also survived by other family members. A very special “thanks” to lifelong best friend Ralph (Sandy) Compton.
Friends and family are invited to join in a “Celebration of Life Memorial Service” for Jim on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 1:00 PM. Service will be held at the Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at 6632 State Route 96A Romulus, NY 14541, also know as the NYS Veterans Cemetery-Finger Lakes. Service will be followed by a luncheon at the Interlaken Sportsman Club located at 8561 Tunison Road Interlaken, NY 14847.
