Kelly Ann Blake

Kelly Ann Blake of Newfield passed away on April 7, 2026, at Cayuga Medical Center after several years of declining health at the age of 62. She leaves behind a legacy marked by her free spirit, unwavering courage to speak her mind, and deep devotion to those she loved. 

Born on July 29, 1963 in Bronx, New York, Kelly was the daughter of the late John and Linda (Hazen) O'Leary. Kelly worked for several years as a senior account clerk typist at the Tompkins County Probation Office. She found joy and creative expression in crocheting and ceramics. She had an unwavering love for her family and her beloved pets, who were constant sources of comfort and affection.

Kelly is survived by her husband, David Blake; children, Kimberly Makinster,  Zachary (Michelle George) Makinster,, and Marshall Blake; grandchildre Melody Buckley, Layne Buckley, Jahnaya Makinster, London Buckley, Kyra Makinster, Julie George, and Elijah; and siblings, Karen Barnes and John O'Leary. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Linda O'Leary.

The family will be present to receive friends from Noon to 2:00pm on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 2:00pm at the funeral home.
