Melvin R. Theetge Jr.

Beloved husband, father, and brother, Melvin Roy Theetge Jr, 60 of Newfield, NY passed away April 13, 2018 at Cayuga Medical Center after a long fight with cancer.

Melvin was born in Silvercreek, NY to Melvin R. Theetge Sr. and Carly J. Chilson. Melvin was a retiree from Emerson Power Transmission and then a Master Journeyman Maintance Machinist at Corning Inc.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years Gertrude E. Leonard; daughters Bernice L. Hayward, Rebecca J. Theetge and April M. Rodriguez; brothers Charlie Mulks, David Mulks; sister, Nancy Rose; and grandchildren Steven Miller, Alyssa Babcock, Christopher Miller, Rose Miller, Kenneth Anastos, Jasmine Cooper, Anastia Miller, Mickey Anastos, Ivelysse Rodriguez and William J. Cooper. Melvin was predeceased by his parents; brother, James Theetge; and sister Anne Mucky.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 11:00am at the People's Baptist Church in Newfield NY.
