Torrie Melissa Savunen

Torrie Melissa Savunen passed away on November 10, 2025, at Cayuga Medical Center at the age of 49.
She was born in Ithaca, New York on November 5, 1976, a daughter of the late Ronald Savunen and Sandra Hipple States.
Torrie experienced many hardships throughout her life. Her tenacity and social nature allowed her to connect with a diverse array of individuals, as she possessed the extraordinary ability to befriend anyone she encountered.
She is survived by her children, Ashley Valway and Cameron Manley; siblings, Jeffrey (Amy) Savunen and Autumn VanOstrand; and nieces and nephews, Chase and Eveliina Savunen, Dylan Leaderman, and Aires Yontz.
Torrie was preceded in death by her parents; step-brother, Joel States, and her niece, Jennevieve Savunen.
A Celebration of her Life will be announced at a later date.
