Barbara Joyce (Wright) Weatherby

Barbara Joyce Wright Weatherby of Trumansburg passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at the age of 92.

Barb was born on November 22, 1930 in Jacksonville, NY to the late James and Norma (Harvey) Wright. She married E. Alan Weatherby and together they raised their children on the Fall View Farm family homestead. Along with farming, working together they owned and operated the family business of Lamoreaux Quinn Services, Try Us Food and Fuel, and Trumansburg Agway. Barb was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Trumansburg, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Ulysses Historical Society.

Barb is survived by four children, Susan (David) Collar, Robert (Holly) Weatherby, Julie (Rick) Smith, and Mary (Dan) Fox; 11 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and one on the way; a sister, Marcia Keith; sisters in law, Diane Sherman and Karen Premo; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, E. Alan Weatherby in 2016.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Trumansburg, 4443 E. Seneca Road, Trumansburg.
