Beverly (Tall) Besemer

Beverly Tall Besemer, longtime resident of the Trumansburg area, passed away peacefully at Schuyler Hospital on Tuesday, July 6, 2021.

Beverly was born in Ithaca on May 27, 1933, the daughter of the late Harry W. and Helen (English) Tall. Bev retired as an account clerk for the Village of Cayuga Heights and had been a member of the Jacksonville and most recently Trumansburg United Methodist Churches. An active member of the Trumansburg Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #479, and a former member of Forest City Chapter #436 of Ithaca where she was matron many times, starting in 1963.  In 1985 she was District Deputy Grand Matron of the Cayuga-Tompkins District of New York.   Bev had been an active member of the Enfield and Trumansburg Senior Citizens, and looked forward to its many gatherings and outings.

Bev is survived by her children, Linda Duddleston of Interlaken, Thomas (Jeana Schoener) Besemer of Lansing, William (Susan) Besemer of Spencer, Susan (Edward) Kaulen of Hiram, GA, and Robert (Cindy) Besemer of Enfiled; her grandchildren, Matthew (Karen) Besemer of Lansing, Antionette Besemer of Binghamton, Erin (Jerry) Lawrence of Dryden, Gregory (Tiana) Duddleston of Sound Beach, NY, Benjamin (Jaclyn) Duddleston of Mt. Sinai, NY, Christine (Eben) Whittaker of Duanesburg, NY, Sarah (Joshua) Smith of Spencer, Michael Brooks of Myrtle Beach, SC, Rodney (Kristen) Brooks of Ruskin, FL, Jennifer Vincedomini of Genoa; and great grandchildren, Ryan and Joe Besemer, Emily and Anna Lawrence, Caleb, Kane, Sawyer, and Fiona Duddleston, Noah, Ryan, and Julia Duddleston, Logan Whitaker, Hunter and Carson Smith, Jack Brooks, Michael, Aiden and Olivia Brooks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney H. Besemer in 2007.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, August 13, 2021 at the Trumansburg United Methodist Church, prayers of committal will be held at Brookton Cemetery in Brooktondale, New York.
