Beverly L. (Novak) Morley

Beverly L. Morley of Alpine passed away peacefully at Hospicare on January 1, 2021 at the age of 80.

Beverly was born in Black Walnut, Pennsylvania on March 9, 1940, a daughter of the late Chester and Sophie (Wawrzynski) Novak.  She worked for 33 years as the Town of Hector assessor and served for 4 years on the Hector Town Board. A devoted parishioner of St. James Catholic Church, Beverly was a member of the Women’s Guild. She enjoyed tending to her flower beds and was a member of the Trumansburg Senior Citizens. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.  She enjoyed the Novak family picnics at the cottage on the Susquehanna River, baking pies, and spending the holidays with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild.

Beverly is survived by three children, Lawrence (Kim) Morley, Lorraine Morley, and Gerald (Carrie) Morley; grandchildren, Christopher Morley and Lawrence Morley Jr.; great granddaughter, Zoey Morley; a sister, Phyllis Brink; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Morley in 2018; and nine siblings.

The family will be present to receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00pm on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Friday, January 8, 2021 at St. James Catholic Church in Trumansburg. Prayers of committal will follow at St. James Cemetery.
