Francis E. Elliott

Francis E. Elliott, age 70, passed away at home on Saturday, December 25, 2021. 

Francis was born in Corning, NY on September 30, 1951 a son to the late Charles F. and Alberta (Rumsey) Elliott. Francis worked for a number of years and retired from U.S. Salt in Watkins Glen, NY. An avid hunter and fisherman who served as president of the Millport Hunting and Fishing Club for several years, where he proudly started the children’s Hunter Safety Course. Francis had a personality larger than life and the gift to gab to anyone who crossed his path, and let’s not forget a big time story teller.  An amazing family man and a loving grandfather, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Francis is survived by his loving companion Barbara Workman and her family; his children, Karie (John) Radford, Chris (Amanda) Elliott, Molly Elliott and Malori (Andrew) Clark; several grandchildren; sister in law, Maylonda Elliott and several nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Matthew Elliott; sisters, Flossie Elliott and Debora Scranton; and a brother, Albert Elliott.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00pm on Saturday, August 13th at the Montour Falls Moose Lodge, 2096 County Road 14, Montour Falls, NY.
