Linda J. Kline

Linda J. Kline of Newfield passed away unexpectedly at Rochester General Hospital on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at the age of 56.

Linda was born in Norwich, NY on July 5, 1966, a daughter to Burton and Veva (nee Humphrey) Kline. Linda attended Hartwick College, Oneonta, and University of New England, earning her Master’s in social work. This achievement led to a long career in children and family services working for George Junior Republic, Chenango County Social Services, Franziska Racker Center, and most recently Gorge Falls Therapy. Linda’s contagious sense of humor, always providing comic relief to everyone she met.

Linda is survived by her partner, Kris McGettrick; daughter, Ashley (Zachary) Struble; grandsons, Mason and Jagger; mother, Veva Kline; siblings, Michael (Ann Marie) Kline, Joan (David) Daniels, Steven (Lynn) Kline, and Edward (Lynne) Kline; nieces and nephews, Alyson Kline, Christina (Joseph) Harrison, Heather (Luke) Koch, Lacey Kline, Stacey (Justin) McDermott, Robert (Brenda) Vischi, Jonathan (Hannah) Vischi, Nathan (Brenda) Kline, and Jason (Stephanie) Kline; 14 great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; and a nephew, Scott Davern.

The family will be present to receive friends from 1:00 to 4:00pm on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg. Burial will be private for family.
