Linda L. Murphy

Linda L. Murphy, age 74, of Trumansburg, NY passed away at home on June 30, 2022. 

She was born on August 15, 1947 in Ithaca, NY the daughter of the late Lewis and Tressie (nee Shugarts) Murphy. Linda worked for 45 years at Cayuga Medical Center as an LPN where she took great pride in caring for others. She enjoyed volunteering locally in Trumansburg with the Historical Society, the Gemm Shop and Trumansburg Senior Citizens. She was a member of the Jacksonville Methodist Church and was involved with the United Methodists Women’s group. An avid Mets fan and a lover of Agatha Christie novels, Linda always had her cats nearby. She will be missed by all, and especially for Sunday morning breakfast at the Falls Tavern with her grandkids.

Linda is survived by her daughter Rebecca (Bob) Murphy-Fish; six grandchildren, Dylan, Emily, Lilly, Maia, Dmitri ad Donovan; her siblings, Timothy (Tina) Murphy, Erin (Doug) Nichols and Eric (Karen) Murphy; nieces and nephews, Devin Murphy, Nicole and Hayden, Sabrina (Margaret), Hannah, Sarah, Rose and Patrick; and her loving cats, Bones and Booth. In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her brother, Lewis Murphy II.

In keeping with Linda’s wishes, there will be no public services.
