Raymond w. Joki

Raymond W. Joki of Trumansburg passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the age of 79.

Raymond was born on December 23, 1943, a son of the late Jorma and Irene (nee Savan) Joki. He devoted much of his life to his job in construction where he helped construct many of the buildings throughout Ithaca. Raymond loved walking daily around the Trumansburg neighborhoods and enjoyed watching football and basketball. He married his high school sweetheart, Mitzi Leonard Joki, and they were soul mates and had a great admiration for each other.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Mitzi Joki; stepbrothers Alfred (Pat) Wendela and William Wendela; and stepsister Karen VanNorman. He was preceded in death by brother, Martin Joki; stepsister Mrs. John Elaine Adams; stepbrothers, Nick, William, and Earl Wendela; and step sister, Marybeth Wendela.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Grove Cemetery.
