Richard Cronk Cook

Richard Cronk “Dick” Cook of Trumansburg passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at the age of 88.

Dick was born at home on the family farm in the Town of Hector on March 15, 1934, a son of the late Jay and Alice (nee Cronk) Cook. He graduated from Trumansburg High School and honorably served in the United States Army. Remaining on the Cook Home Farm his entire life, Dick was a farmer and there was nothing more he enjoyed in life. Dick loved being outdoors and was an avid hunter.

Dick is survived by his son, Jay (Kim) Cook; two granddaughters, Megan and Jessica Cook; a sister in law, Betty Cook; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by a son, Richard L. Cook; mother of his sons, Janette Cook Ward; sisters, Alberta Schultz and Doris Marion; and brothers, Donald and Gordon Cook.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Ness-Sibley Funeral Home.
