Terry A. Dense

Terry A. Dense of Odessa passed away at home on Monday, September 13, 2021 at the age of 68.

Terry is survived by the love of his life and wife of 45 years, Pat Dense (formerly Kelly) and his 3 adoring children Kelly Wendt-Dense (David Barrett) of Newfield, Melissa Jenkins-Dense (Sean) of Newfield, and Brett Dense (Andrea) of Etters, PA; 8 grandchildren of whom he loved with his entire heart, Shawn Wendt, Mackenzie Wendt, Marcus Elliott, Malcolm Jenkins, Kennadi Jenkins, Aubree Dense, Declan Dense and Bowen Dense; brother Jeffrey Dense (Marti) of Groton NY; a sister Linda Seymour of Spencer NY; beloved brother-in-law’s Gary Kelly of Burdett, David Kelly (Mary) of Burdett, Kevin Kelly (Terri) of Tyrone and Jason Kelly (Pamela) of Burdett; sister-in-law’s Sharon Kelly of Newfield and Susan Kelly of Burdett; 40 nieces and nephews; and Annabelle Manning of Alpine NY of whom he considered to be his “mother” and lifelong source of love.

He is predeceased in life by his mother Edna Dense and father George Dense; his mother and father in law Floyd and Ruth Kelly of Burdett; by his loved brother-in-law’s Neal Kelly of Burdett and Philip Kelly of Newfield.

Terry was incredibly proud of his childhood and upbringing in “Little Russia” in Cayuta. NY- he reminisced often of simple joys and how to make do with what you are given in life. He made friends into family that have not left his side. He carried that energy though his entire life, learning skills that he knew could benefit him and help him provide and build a life for his family. There was nothing that made him happier than spending every moment he could with his wife and beloved dog Lacey, back porch sitting, adventures with his grandchildren, eating good food, and caring for the beautiful property he and Pat carefully created. He never hesitated to take that step back, watch his kids and grandkids and be truly happy and thankful for the life he had created and acknowledge the love that surrounded him.

The family will be present to receive friends from 3:00 to 6:00pm on Friday, September 17, 2021 at the Burdett Fire House, 4124 Lake Street, Burdett.
